Your playing stays yours. Here is exactly what leaves your device.

Audio

Your microphone audio never leaves this device. Rameau analyzes it in this browser tab to find when you strummed and which notes rang. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.

MIDI notes from a keyboard or pad controller are handled the same way.

The bandleader

Between loops, the Jam Room sends a short summary to Rameau's server: for each strum, which 16th it landed on, how many milliseconds off it was, whether the chord matched, how loud it was and which chord tones rang. It also includes the challenge you're on, the challenges you had recently, your skill estimates, the loop's chord tones and the target artist.

When Claude is enabled on the server, it forwards that summary to Anthropic's Claude API to decide the band's next move. Otherwise the server answers with built-in rules and the summary goes no further. It never contains audio, a name or an account. Like any web request, it passes through our hosting provider.

What's stored

Your musician model (skills, sessions) and your Sketches are stored in this browser only (IndexedDB). Clearing your site data removes them. There are no accounts yet.
